On the morning of September 3, Mr. Vi Van Quang, residing in Na Luong 2 village (Huu Kiem commune, Ky Son district) caught a "giant" fish floating on the Nam Mo river flowing through the village.

According to Mr. Quang, at that time, he went to the river to check the flood water and suddenly saw this "giant" animal drifting to the shore. Suspecting that it was a scorpion fish, a specialty fish of the Western Nghe An region, he scooped it up. Seeing that the fish was dead due to its head being smashed but still fresh, he brought it home. The fish weighed nearly 17 kg, was nearly 2 meters long and was sold for more than 5 million VND.
