United Nations: Too early to draw conclusions
Spokesperson for the United Nations Secretary-General (UN) Farhan Haq said that the organization's leaders have not commented on the first military moves by the US, UK and France in Syria immediately after US President Donald Trump ordered an attack on Syria. Currently, the UN has the latest report on the uprisings in the Middle East, but there is no assessment or comment on the war situation in Syria.
“Obviously, the incident has just begun, we need more time to research,” the representative said. “It is too early to make any judgments at this time, we need to observe further developments.”
Responding to a question from TASS news agency about whether or not the US had notified UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres about plans to launch a war against Syria, Mr. Farhan Har did not give a clear answer.
“I am not sure whether we have received the above information or not,” Mr. Farhan Har replied, saying that he had just had a discussion with UN Secretary-General Guterres.

British Prime Minister Theresa May said that the military operations of the US, UK and France in Syria are not aimed at changing the Syrian regime, but the main goal of the attack is to reduce escalating tensions and limit civilian casualties.
“This military strike will send a clear message to anyone who believes that Syria will not face any punishment for using chemical weapons,” the British Prime Minister affirmed.
The British Prime Minister added that he had ordered British military forces to focus on coordinating with US and French allies, attacking targets, weakening Syria's plans to use chemical weapons.
Theresa May stressed that there was no alternative to military action.
“This military action will not only protect innocent people in Syria from the horrific deaths caused by chemical weapons, but will also protect international norms from being eroded. We must condemn the use of these weapons,” the British Prime Minister said.

French President Emmanuel Macron has ordered the French military to attack Syria as part of a joint military operation with US and UK allies.
"We will only attack Syrian bases suspected of using chemical weapons. France does not allow the regular use of these weapons. It is a great threat to the Syrian people, and affects the common security in the region" - President Macron declared.
NATO: Support for attack on Syria
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that NATO supports the US attack on Syria, but most NATO members will not participate in airstrikes in Syria.
