Clarifying the water quality of Dao River
Exchanging opinions at the conference, journalists focused on discussing the issue of clean water for people in Vinh city and surrounding areas.
Many opinions said that the province's policy of stopping the use of raw water from the Dao River to provide clean water for the people of Vinh City and surrounding areas was highly supported by public opinion. However, the problem is that the water quality is only concluded by senses, the province currently has no specific conclusion document as a basis to confirm that the Dao River water source is polluted.
In addition, some issues such as suspended projects and “suspended” mines have not been decided to reclaim, leaving the land fallow. The province should establish inspection teams to assess the current situation; and recommend to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to reclaim suspended projects.
