(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2016, on the afternoon of January 30, agencies, units and enterprises organized gift giving and visits to poor families in the province.

On January 30, a delegation of the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank, Nghe An branch, led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Trang - Deputy Director of the branch, presented gifts including warm clothes and some necessities to 50 extremely poor households in Huu Lap commune, Ky Son district, each gift worth 300,000 VND. The gifts are not only material support but also encouragement, sympathy and sharing for the poor households.

The delegation came to give gifts including warm clothes and some necessities to 50 extremely poor households in Huu Lap commune, Ky Son district.

These are gifts contributed by officers and employees of the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank, Nghe An branch, from a part of their income to share with poor households in the province in general and Huu Lap commune in particular during the traditional Tet holiday of the nation. In the coming time, the branch will continue to mobilize contributions from officers, employees as well as organizations and individuals to share the difficulties and hardships of the poor people in the border district of Ky Son.

* Early Tet at Quynh Lap Central Dermatology and Leprosy Hospital

On the morning of January 30, Vinh City's "Green Dream" Volunteer Club coordinated with Quynh Lap Central Dermatology and Leprosy Hospital to organize an early year-end party for more than 230 patients.

This is the fourth time the "Green Dream" Club has visited and given gifts to leprosy patients, but perhaps this is the first charity group to organize a meal right at the hospital to help patients feel the warm atmosphere of the family reunion during Tet.

To prepare 25 trays of rice and 52 servings of noodles, the team wrapped and cooked banh chung the day before. The food was carefully selected and cooked on site. For seriously ill patients who were being treated in the special ward and could not come, volunteers and nurses on duty brought it to their rooms.

Volunteers feel very happy to have contributed a small part in bringing a Tet atmosphere to patients, reducing the inferiority complex caused by illness.

* Nghia Dan District Youth Union organized gift giving at Thong Thu commune, Que Phong district

Responding to the program "For the Western region of Nghe An", on January 30, the Executive Committee of Nghia Dan District Youth Union organized a gift giving ceremony in Thong Thu commune, Que Phong district - a commune with more than 46% poor households, 99% ethnic minorities, and 29.5 km of border with Laos.
