Localities actively prevent epidemics caused by Corona virus

Border Guard officers also directly examined the health of workers returning from China for Tet holiday in border communes; tightened management of people entering and leaving border gates, especially trails leading to China.

Nghe An Border Guard Command also distributed more than 10,000 medical masks to people to prevent Corona virus.

The District Health Center has organized training for medical staff in 33 communes and towns. *In recent days, teachers at Mai Son Kindergarten, in the border commune of Mai Son, a mountainous districtXiangyangstay up all night making hundreds of masks to give away for free to students.

Mai Son Kindergarten has 4 campuses with 175 students, who are children of Mong, Kho Mu, Thai ethnic groups and a small number of Kinh people. Most of them are children of poor households.

Currently, the number of workers returning from China in Mai Son commune and Tuong Duong district is quite large, difficult to control, and has a high risk of spreading. Faced with that reality, Mai Son Kindergarten has purchased good quality paper (hard to tear, hygienic...) and elastic bands and mobilized all school teachers to make masks and give them to students for free to prevent and fight the epidemic. Instead of working during the day, the school mobilized and arranged teachers to work at night so as not to affect teaching and learning.

Within one session, the teachers and staff here made nearly 500 masks, all of which were given away for free to students and parents of the school.
