(Baonghean.vn) - The leaders of the Department of Health require all mobile emergency teams to always be ready to respond before, during and after storms.

Faced with the complicated developments of storm No. 3 that may make landfall in Nghe An province, the Department of Health has issued urgent dispatch No. 1759/SYT-VP to health units in the entire sector to direct the implementation of contents to be ready to respond to storm No. 3.

After receiving the directive, on the afternoon of July 18, Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh - Acting Director of the Department of Health directly inspected the work of preventing storm No. 3 at Cua Lo Town Medical Center and Nghi Loc District General Hospital.

The actual inspection showed that the units had fully prepared plans, options, and prepared mobile surgical teams, emergency transport teams, and epidemic prevention teams; checked chemical spraying equipment, cars, generators, life jackets, minor surgery equipment, emergency medicine, and Cloramin B.

Acting Director of the Department of Health, Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh noted: Medical units need to focus on implementing the 4-on-site plan well; proactively evacuate, ensure patient safety and continue to carry out medical examination, treatment and emergency care; prepare adequate medicine and equipment; assign sufficient human resources to ensure 24/7 on-duty; mobile emergency teams must always be ready to respond when ordered; do a good job of securing and protecting the unit's assets...

After the storm makes landfall, medical units must closely monitor, promptly prevent and organize treatment and handling of epidemics; organize propaganda and mobilize people to clean the environment, treat domestic water; handle dead livestock and poultry, and sanitation facilities.

In particular, grassroots medical units need to ensure smooth information, update and fully report the situation to the Department of Health; be ready to perform tasks to support other units, according to the dispatch of the Department of Health in case of emergency./.
