(Baonghean.vn) - On April 19, the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of Nghe An province and many organizations and unions supported policy families in many localities.

In Con Cuong district, the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of Nghe An province awarded 50 million VND to support Mrs. Nguyen Thi Nhan (Bong Khe commune) whose husband was martyr Nguyen Van Lap, who died in 1978 on the Southwest front. After her husband passed away, she raised two children alone, in difficult circumstances, and her level 4 house is now seriously degraded.

With the above amount of money and the support of relatives and local authorities, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhan will soon be able to build a solid house.

On the same day,The Provincial Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs awarded 50 million VND to support the construction of a house of gratitude for Ms. Lang Thi Ky and the wife of martyr Luong Cong Nghia, Cam Hoa village, Cam Son commune.

Currently, Ms. Lang Thi Ky is 78 years old, her life is very difficult and deprived. With financial support from the Provincial Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs, her family has built a new level 4 house with an area of ​​100 m2.

* Also in Anh Son district,From the money from selling scrap, the scrap collection teams of the Women's Union of Vinh Son commune bought 2 health insurance cards to give to the disadvantaged association.

Every Thursday morning, the people of Vinh Son commune are very familiar with the image of the women's union members collecting and gathering scrap at the house of Ms. Nguyen Thi Duyen, a member of branch 1. Each person has a bag of cans and plastic boxes, including many elderly members participating. After collecting, the women carefully classify and pack the waste, all of which are recorded in a public and transparent manner.

The Women's Union of Vinh Son commune has 774 members, operating in 9 branches. When the Women's Union launched a campaign to collect scrap to sell to raise funds for the Poor, 9/9 branches actively responded. After nearly 2 months of implementation, the amount collected was more than 1 million VND. From this fund, the Women's Union of Vinh Son commune bought 2 health insurance cards to give to 2 members in difficult circumstances.

Sharing about this model, Ms. Phan Thi Yen - President of the Women's Union of Vinh Son commune said: Realizing that mobilizing members to collect waste in the right place, not throwing toxic waste into the environment... is not only meaningful in terms of preserving the living environment but also brings economic benefits, so the Union has launched this activity among all members.

In order for the model to be widely deployed among members and people, the Association has closely coordinated with Party committees and local authorities to strengthen propaganda and mobilization so that not only members but all people can raise awareness of environmental protection and participate in collecting scrap with women members.

The success of this activity has really created an enthusiastic response not only from women's union members but also from people in the whole commune. At the same time, women have proactively classified garbage and scrap for easy collection as well as to avoid environmental pollution.
