Voters in Nghia Dan commune, along with six other communes, raised and proposed 34 issues related to socio-economic development, political system building, and social welfare.

On the morning of July 14th, National Assembly delegates from Nghe An province, elected in constituency No. 2: Major General Tran Duc Thuan - full-time member of the National Assembly's Committee on National Defense, Security and Foreign Affairs, and Mr. Vi Van Son - member of the National Assembly's Ethnic Council, member of the Provincial Party Committee, and Director of the Department of Ethnic and Religious Affairs of Nghe An province, held a meeting with voters in Nghia Dan commune.

Attending the meeting with voters were leaders and representatives from the Department of Internal Affairs, the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Department of Finance, the Department of Construction, and a large number of voters from 7 communes.

The voter outreach conference was held in two formats: in person at Nghia Dan commune and online in six communes: Nghia Tho, Nghia Lam, Nghia Mai, Nghia Hung, Nghia Khanh, and Nghia Loc (formerly Nghia Dan district).

Activities of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation at the Session

National Assembly representative Vi Van Son announced the results of the 9th session of the 15th National Assembly. This was a historic session of the National Assembly, deciding on many important issues of the country.

Notably, the National Assembly passed resolutions amending and supplementing several articles of the 2013 Constitution; resolutions perfecting the organization and operation of the two-tiered government apparatus; and key laws and resolutions aimed at promoting socio-economic development and improving the efficiency of state management; and outlining the strategic direction for national development in the coming period...

These decisions demonstrate the innovative spirit, political acumen, high level of consensus, and strong determination of the National Assembly for the sustainable development of the nation and its people.

National Assembly representative Vi Van Son also informed voters about the results of the provincial National Assembly delegation's activities at the session.

Specifically, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation had 73 delegates participating in discussions on draft laws, draft resolutions, reports on socio-economic development; security and defense; the state budget and other important issues under the authority of the National Assembly. Of these, 17... There were numerous speeches and questions raised in the plenary session, 56 speeches in group meetings, and many opinions from delegates in the delegation directly contributing to the documents presented at the session.

Voters raised and proposed 34 issues.

During the meeting, voters in Nghia Dan commune and at other locations raised and proposed 34 issues related to socio-economic development, political system building, and social welfare.

Besides expressing strong support for the implementation of the two-tiered government system, its initial smooth operation, and the capable and highly responsible staff who serve the people well, voter Le Dinh Chau (Nghia Dan commune) suggested that the National Assembly and the Government study and adjust salaries and allowances for officials and civil servants to ensure a minimum standard of living, reduce the number of officials working outside the government sector, and develop a plan for the most effective arrangement and use of public assets after the merger.

Voters in Nghia Loc commune have petitioned the competent authorities to ensure sufficient staffing for commune-level officials and civil servants, especially those with in-depth expertise in financial management, land management, and compensation for land clearance.

Voters in Nghia Tho commune have requested that authorities study options for assigning and utilizing qualified part-time commune-level officials into the new administrative apparatus after restructuring; and that policies be in place for these officials upon their retirement.

Regarding the healthcare sector, voter Nguyen Huu Hong – Director of Nghia Dan Medical Center – reflected that the hospital's construction projects, invested in since 2010, have not yet been finalized, affecting upgrades and repairs when they are already dilapidated, and somewhat impacting professional activities. The voter requested that the competent authorities resolve this issue. Simultaneously, he suggested that the authorities consider reclassifying civil servants working in the field of population and family planning after they have completed their university-level professional training.

Voters in Nghia Dan and Nghia Loc communes requested that the competent authorities upgrade Route 48E, the section passing through Nghia Dan commune, and Provincial Road 531, which are currently in disrepair and affecting people's travel; increase the capacity of the Nghia Dan waste treatment plant; and address the persistent environmental pollution...

Voters in seven localities also raised many concerns related to the policy of abolishing the death penalty for eight crimes, including embezzlement and bribery; the adjustment of land price tables that are not in line with reality in some aspects; and the high increase in electricity prices...

Clarifying several issues.

Based on feedback and suggestions from voters, representatives from provincial departments and agencies, as well as Nghia Dan commune, have addressed and explained issues within their jurisdiction.

At the conclusion of the conference, National Assembly delegate, Major General Tran Duc Thuan - a full-time member of the National Assembly's Committee on National Defense, Security and Foreign Affairs - thanked the voters for their concern and responsibility in reflecting on and proposing many relevant issues.

The delegates affirmed that the Provincial National Assembly Delegation is responsible for compiling and categorizing issues into groups that fall under the jurisdiction of the Central Government and Nghe An province, so that relevant levels can study and resolve them.

Major General Tran Duc Thuan also expressed his hope that the new administrative apparatus in the communes would strive to successfully complete its tasks as many new powers are decentralized, while building a government that is closer to the people and serves them better.

During the leadership, guidance, and management process, shortcomings are promptly identified and recommendations are made to competent authorities for research and resolution, ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the two-tiered local government apparatus, thereby promoting the development of each locality and the entire country.
