Activities to support school before the new school year

(Baonghean.vn)- On August 31, many units and localities organized activities to support students going to school and give gifts to students before the new school year.

* Provincial Border Guard:

On August 20 and 31, the Provincial Border Guard coordinated with officers and soldiers of Tam Hop Border Guard Station to give gifts to the family of two sisters, Lu Thi Ly and Lu Thi Quynh, in Xop Nam village, Tam Hop commune, Tuong Duong district. Ly and Quynh lost their mother when they were young, their father left them, and they had to live with their grandparents, who are now over 70 years old. The two sisters were supported by officers and soldiers of Tam Hop Border Guard Station (Nghe An Border Guard) until they finished high school.

On this occasion, the delegation also presented gifts to Phan Thi An (Xop Nam village) and Le Thi Tam Nhu (Phong village) of Tam Hop commune, two special circumstances that the Political Department of the Provincial Border Guard has sponsored to study until the end of high school.

These are special circumstances among 94 poor students who have overcome difficulties to study well on the two border lines and are sponsored and supported by the Nghe An Border Guard. Each month, departments, offices and units support each student with 500,000 VND to help them and their families reduce difficulties and improve their studies. Nghe An Border Guard units are currently supporting 20 students who are children of ethnic minorities from Laos.

* Dien Chau district:

The Association for the Support of the Disabled and Orphans of Dien Chau District has presented 241 bicycles to disabled students and orphans in the new school year.

On this occasion, 241 students from 81 primary, secondary and high schools in the district received 241 bicycles with a total value of more than 289 million VND, the amount was taken from the fund of the District Association for the Protection of Disabled and Orphans.Meaningful gifts for children at the beginning of the new school year will create conditions and motivation for them to go to school.

It is known that since the beginning of the year, the Association for the Support of People with Disabilities and Orphans of Dien Chau has donated 500 bicycles to students in difficult circumstances in the district.

* Yen Thanh District:

Yen Thanh District has just held the inauguration ceremony and handed over a multi-functional school building to Tien Thanh Kindergarten. This is a project built from the “Support to School” program launched by Vinh University.

After more than 2 months of urgent construction, the project has a usable area of ​​nearly 100m2.²With a total investment of 400 million VND and an outdoor sports area worth 30 million VND, the project was completed on schedule.

The funding for the construction of the project was donated by the Department of Education and Training, together with officials and people of District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, demonstrating the tradition of mutual support and love for rural schools that are still facing many difficulties.

The multifunctional classroom at Tien Thanh Kindergarten has been put into use, contributing to solving the shortage of classrooms in the new school year 2017 - 2018.
