(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of the 69th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - 2016), localities and units in Nghe An organized many activities to express gratitude, visit and give gifts to families with meritorious services to the revolution.

* On the morning of July 26, leaders of the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front of Vinh Cityled by comrade Vo Viet Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Vinh City Party Committee, to offer incense at Vinh City Martyrs Cemetery and visit and give gifts to units and policy beneficiaries, outstanding meritorious people, and people with difficulties in the city.

On this occasion, the City leaders organized 4 delegations to visit and present gifts at the following units: Nghe An Nursing Center for Seriously Wounded Soldiers, Nghe An Mental Health Nursing Center for Wounded Soldiers and 25 households of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, relatives of martyrs, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and Agent Orange victims.

Thanh Thuy Border Guard Station gives gifts to policy families

Visiting and giving gifts to policy families is an activity organized periodically by the Border Guard officers and soldiers of Thanh Thuy station on holidays, New Year, and commemorating important events of the country, expressing gratitude for the merits and noble sacrifices of heroic martyrs, wounded soldiers, and people with meritorious services to the revolution who have devoted their whole lives to the cause of national liberation.

On this occasion, Thanh Thuy Border Guard Station presented 15 gifts to policy families in the area and 8 soldiers in the unit with a total amount of 5.8 million VND.

* July 25, Representative of the Quynh Long (Quynh Luu) Association in TaiwanCoordinated with local authorities of Quynh Long commune to visit and present 17 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND to wounded soldiers, families of martyrs, people with meritorious services to the revolution and presented 26 gifts to a number of other policy families.

On this occasion, the Association also visited and presented 5 million VND in support to the family of Nguyen Ngoc Luan, son of heroic martyr Nguyen Ba Vanh in Phu Lien village (Quynh Long) to build a house of gratitude.

On the afternoon of July 26, Nghe An Mental and Neurological Nursing Center for War InvalidsCelebrate the 69th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2016.

Nghe An Mental Health Nursing Home currently receives, manages, cares for, and treats 98 wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and people with meritorious services to the revolution who, due to combat, combat service, war sequelae, injuries, mental illness, and have a particularly severe disability rate.
