Gratitude activities on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day

(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of the 69th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - 2016), localities and units in Nghe An organized many activities to express gratitude, visit and give gifts to families with meritorious services to the revolution.

* On the morning of July 26, leaders of the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front of Vinh Cityled by comrade Vo Viet Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Vinh City Party Committee, to offer incense at Vinh City Martyrs Cemetery and visit and give gifts to units and policy beneficiaries, outstanding meritorious people, and people with difficulties in the city.

At Vinh City Martyrs' Cemetery, city leaders laid wreaths, offered incense, and expressed their respect to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their blood and bones to gain independence and freedom for the nation.

On this occasion, the City leaders organized 4 delegations to visit and present gifts at the following units: Nghe An Nursing Center for Seriously Wounded Soldiers, Nghe An Mental Health Nursing Center for Wounded Soldiers and 25 households of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, relatives of martyrs, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and Agent Orange victims.

At the places visited, the delegation kindly inquired about the health and living conditions of policy families, and expressed gratitude for the sacrifices and losses of heroic martyrs, wounded soldiers, and policy families.

Comrade Le Hong Son, Chairman of the District People's Committee, presented gifts to the family of Mr. Mai Van Chien, a 1/4 disabled soldier in Phu Loc hamlet, Nghia Phu commune.

* On 26/, agencies and units in Ky Son districtOrganize activities to visit and give gifts to policy families in the area.

Representatives of Ky Son district leaders gave gifts to families with meritorious services.

The District Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Ky Son district visited and presented gifts to 12 policy families in the district, each gift worth 500,000 VND. Mass organizations such as the District Youth Union, the District Police Youth Union, and 21 communes and towns in the area also visited and presented over 100 gifts to 100 policy families and those with revolutionary contributions.

Thanh Thuy Border Guard Station gives gifts to policy families

Visiting and giving gifts to policy families is an activity organized periodically by the Border Guard officers and soldiers of Thanh Thuy station on holidays, New Year, and commemorating important events of the country, expressing gratitude for the merits and noble sacrifices of heroic martyrs, wounded soldiers, and people with meritorious services to the revolution who have devoted their whole lives to the cause of national liberation.

On this occasion, Thanh Thuy Border Guard Station presented 15 gifts to policy families in the area and 8 soldiers in the unit with a total amount of 5.8 million VND.

* Hoang Mai Cement Joint Stock CompanyVisited and presented gifts to mothers of martyrs in Nghi Loc district: Nguyen Thi Tam in hamlet 10 and mother Nguyen Thi Em in hamlet 8 (Phuc Tho commune); visited and presented gifts to wounded soldiers Nguyen Ngoc The in Nghi Hoa commune; Nguyen Van Thu, a 1/4 wounded soldier in Nghi Khanh commune; and Mr. Manh Loc An in Phuc Tho commune, a victim of Agent Orange Dioxin.

At the families visited, the delegation gave gifts and kindly asked about their health and life, thereby expressing deep gratitude for the contributions and sacrifices of mothers, war invalids, sick soldiers, and families of policy beneficiaries, for the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. The town leaders requested that all levels, sectors and local authorities regularly pay attention and take care of the material and spiritual life of families of policy beneficiaries, demonstrating the morality of "remembering the source of water when drinking" of our nation.

On this occasion, in the whole Thai Hoa town, there were 1,840 people receiving gifts from the Central Government with gifts ranging from 200,000 to 400,000 VND/gift, Thai Hoa town gave 424 gifts with a total value of 64 million VND.

* On the afternoon of July 25, leaders of Quy Hop district policevisited and presented gifts to two Heroic Mothers, namely Truong Thi Thiep in Chat hamlet, Nghia Xuan commune and Vi Thi Quy in Dong Ban hamlet, Dong Hop. Each gift was a savings book worth 5 million VND, this amount was donated by officers and employees of Quy Hop district police, equivalent to one day's salary, to show gratitude to the Heroic Mothers.

* Tam Hop Border Guard Station Youth Union (Nghe An Border Guard)In coordination with the Youth Union and Women's Union of Tam Hop commune, Tuong Duong district, the Youth Union members participated in planting rice to help the family of Ms. Vi Thi Hue - Phong village, Tam Hop commune, wife of martyr Vi Huu Chieu.

* July 25, Representative of the Quynh Long (Quynh Luu) Association in TaiwanCoordinated with local authorities of Quynh Long commune to visit and present 17 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND to wounded soldiers, families of martyrs, people with meritorious services to the revolution and presented 26 gifts to a number of other policy families.

On this occasion, the Association also visited and presented 5 million VND in support to the family of Nguyen Ngoc Luan, son of heroic martyr Nguyen Ba Vanh in Phu Lien village (Quynh Long) to build a house of gratitude.

* On the evening of July 25, at the district martyrs' cemetery, Nghia Dan District Youth UnionOrganize a cultural festival night with the theme "In lieu of gratitude - Full of love"; at the same time, offer incense, light candles to pay tribute to heroic martyrs, and give gifts to policy families in the district.

Nghe An Mental Health Nursing Home currently receives, manages, cares for, and treats 98 wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and people with meritorious services to the revolution who, due to combat, combat service, war sequelae, injuries, mental illness, and have a particularly severe disability rate.

Board of Directors and Trade Union of Nghe An Friendship General Hospitalcame to burn incense for martyrs and visit Vietnamese Heroic Mother Tran Thi Trien, 94 years old in village 14, Dien Thinh commune - Dien Chau.

Representatives of the hospital's leaders and trade union presented gifts and visited VNAH mother Tran Thi Trien.

Here, the delegation encouraged Mother to take care of her health to be a spiritual support for her children and grandchildren, a shining example of revolution, educating the younger generation to remember their roots and promote the revolutionary traditions of their ancestors.
