In a solemn and emotional atmosphere, more than 500 union members and young people offered flowers, incense, and lit candles to express their gratitude to the souls of the outstanding children of the homeland who devoted their youth to the cause of fighting for national liberation and reunification.

At the ceremony, leaders of Quy Hop district, delegates and local people offered flowers, placed candles and burned incense on 585 graves at the district's martyrs cemetery. The candle lighting program to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs of Quy Hop district ended with a grand ceremony to pray for national peace and the souls of the heroes to be liberated.

On this occasion, Quy Hop district allocated nearly 400 million VND from the district's Gratitude Fund to plant new lawns and trees at the district's Martyrs' Cemetery, supported Chau Ly commune to build a new Martyrs' Memorial, supported Van Loi commune to renovate the commune's Martyrs' Memorial; visited and presented gifts to 30 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and outstanding policy families in the area, each gift worth 600,000 VND.

At the ceremony to celebrate the 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day on the morning of July 26, Quy Hop district had 1 collective and 4 individuals awarded Certificates of Merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; 9 collectives and 100 outstanding war invalids and sick soldiers were awarded Certificates of Merit by the District People's Committee.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Xin is the mother of martyr Hoang Xuan Luan. Her family is in extremely difficult circumstances, their house is dilapidated but they have not been able to repair it. With the support of the Association of Families of Martyrs of the province and the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, the construction of a house of gratitude for mother Nguyen Thi Xin has begun.

After more than 1 month of construction, the 3-room tiled house with two wooden rafters has an area of ​​60m2.2and the total value of 180 million VND has been completed. Of which, Vietnam Oil and Gas Power Corporation supported 50 million VND, Quynh Luu district 10 million VND, Quynh Tan commune 10 million VND and the contribution of dozens of working days of cadres and people of village 4.

The house was completed on the occasion of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day on July 27, making it even more meaningful. That is the encouragement and consolation, helping Ms. Xin have a solid house, enjoy her old age and have a spacious place to worship the martyrs.

The 100-dong house built for her has an area of ​​over 100m2.2, worth 150 million VND, of which the 789 Corporation of the Ministry of National Defense supported 70 million VND from the savings fund of 100 VND per day of the Corporation's cadres and youth union members.
