"In case telecommunications enterprises violate regulations on promotion limits, they will be administratively sanctioned and have to pay taxes for illegal promotion programs," emphasized a representative of the Ministry of Information and Communications.

Before this regulation, network operators competed to apply promotional packages of up to 50%, 100% of service value.

Most recently, the state management agency had to blow the whistle and ask the three major network operators, Viettel, Mobifone and Vinaphone, to stop the super promotional package for subscribers accessing social networks Facebook and YouTube.

State management agencies have assessed that cheap packages, with prices of almost 0 VND, exclusively for using Facebook and YouTube, have violated regulations on telecommunications service price management.
