The opening ceremony program consists of two parts, the "Ceremony" part and the "Festival" part, ensuring the full content and meaning of the "National Festival of Bringing Children to School". In which,The ceremony is brief but solemn with rituals (no more than 30 minutes).

The Department of Education and Training also requires that if any school unit needs to report achievements, organize propaganda about the school, propose measures to coordinate with parents... then organize a separate meeting and not include it in the opening ceremony program.

The festival will organize fun, healthy and impressive collective activities so that the opening day of school is truly a meaningful and important day for all students, especially those who are going to school for the first time.

In addition, depending on the actual situation, the school organizes cultural, artistic, sports, and folk games activities... staff, teachers, guests, and parents participate in cheering and interacting with students, creating a friendly, joyful, and exciting atmosphere.

The Provincial People's Committee also plans to organize 13 delegations, led by provincial leaders and members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, to attend the opening ceremony and welcome the new school year with teachers and students at 13 kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools and high schools in the province.

This year, Nghe An has a school that opened early on September 4, which is Huu Khuong Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities, Tuong Duong district.
