The last Tet reunion of the family of 3 people who died on Ro bridge
(Baonghean.vn)- On the way to buy medicine for her grandchild and celebrate Tet, Mrs. Xuan's family had an accident, 3 people were thrown over the bridge railing and died. The fateful Tet trip turned into a day of great mourning in the poor neighborhood.
» Extremely serious accident, 4 people in a family were injured and died
» Another 3-year-old child died in a serious accident at Ro Bridge
Since receiving the bad news about the terrible accident on Ro bridge, an atmosphere of sadness has enveloped the small house of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Xuan and the entire hamlet 4, Thanh Duong commune (Thanh Chuong, Nghe An).
Arriving at the victim's family's home as soon as the incident occurred, the brothers and neighbors were busy cleaning up the house to prepare to bring the bodies of Mrs. Xuan and her daughter-in-law home. The tables, chairs, and beds in the outer room of the old 3-room house were moved to make room, and a tarpaulin was hung in the middle of the yard to protect from the rain. The suitcase that Mr. Tinh and his wife had just brought home was still on the cupboard. In the kitchen, the banh tet cakes were still hanging. A family that was happily celebrating Tet suddenly became the most terrible funeral in the area.

Mrs. Xuan's family has 5 children, 3 boys, 2 girls, her husband Mr. Vo Van Tu passed away 15 years ago. In the old house, many tiles have fallen off and have not been replaced yet. In recent years, it has been the home of Mrs. Xuan and her children, including 2 couples Mr. Vo Van Tuan and Mr. Vo Van Tinh.
After completing his military service, Mr. Tinh went to the South to do business and married Ms. Vi Thi Hue, residing in Hamlet 4, Nghia Thinh Commune (Nghia Dan). After 1 year of marriage, the couple gave birth to their first son, Vo Quang Huy.
Because they both worked as factory workers in Binh Duong province, living in a rented house with difficult conditions, the couple brought Huy back to his grandmother to raise when he was just over a year old. Huy was born with congenital epilepsy, so he was stunted, weak, and had to go to the hospital regularly. Every year, despite the hardship, Mr. Tinh and Ms. Hue had to take turns returning to their hometown to take care of him.
On the 24th of Tet, Mr. Tinh asked for leave from his job at the company to take care of his children, Ms. Hue came back a few days later. Although not complete yet, Mrs. Xuan's family was reunited warmly.
I thought the family's Tet reunion would be complete, but unexpectedly, on the afternoon of February 1 (the 5th day of Tet), on the way home from Tet and to get medicine for Huy, all the mother, children, and grandmother had an accident.
At the time, all four people were riding two motorbikes across Ro Bridge when they collided with a car with license plate 37C - 06202 driven by Pham Van Lai (41 years old), from Hung Loc Commune, Vinh City. The car's impact caused Ms. Xuan, Ms. Hue and Huy to fly over the bridge railing and fall into the riverbank. Ms. Xuan and Ms. Hue died on the spot, Mr. Vo Van Tinh's leg was severed, his body was lying on the bridge, his leg fell right where Ms. Xuan died.
On the night of February 1, after bringing the bodies of Mrs. Xuan and her son home, the whole hamlet 4, Thanh Duong commune, was heartbroken to receive the news that Huy had also breathed his last on the way home from Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital. That same night, relatives, neighbors and neighbors completed the burial procedures for the child. At the same time as his son died, Mr. Tinh had his knee joint completely removed by doctors at Nghe An General Hospital because they could not reattach his gangrenous, severed leg that had fallen to the riverbank.

The obituary posted in front of Mrs. Xuan's house on the morning of February 2 announced the great funeral of the mother and her three children, a great pain and loss for a poor farming family, for a small, peaceful village. In Mr. Tinh's yard, two coffins were placed side by side, incense smoke billowing. Relatives had tears in their eyes. Outside the alley, two hearses were waiting, brought home by local people last night.
Mr. Vo Van Trieu from the South, Mrs. Xuan's fourth son, returned home at 10:00 a.m. on February 2 to be in time for the funeral of his mother, sister-in-law and nephew. Mr. Vi Van Minh (37 years old) - Mrs. Hue's brother, said: His family was extremely saddened when he received the news of his sister, mother-in-law and nephew Huy's death. Yesterday afternoon, while working in the field, he heard the bad news, but could not believe it was true. He immediately rushed from Nghia Thinh (Nghia Dan) to Thanh Chuong.
After hearing the news of the accident of Mrs. Xuan's family of 4, leaders and people of Thanh Duong commune as well as Thanh Chuong district promptly visited and expressed condolences to the family. Mr. Vo Van Thuan (32 years old), Mrs. Xuan's neighbor, said: "Hearing the accident of Mrs. Xuan's family, everyone in the neighborhood was shocked and saddened. When Mr. Tinh recovers, how will he live when 3 relatives are gone and he himself is disabled?"
At the funeral at Mrs. Xuan’s house, those who came to express their condolences to the family could not hide their deep sorrow. This afternoon, in the cold wind and drizzle, the people of Hamlet 4 and the surrounding area sadly bid farewell to the unfortunate people to their final resting place.
