(Baonghean.vn) - Tensions between Germany and Poland threaten to undermine comprehensive military support for Ukraine, Bloomberg reported.

"While NATO countries show solidarity in support of Ukraine, the split between Germany and Poland risks undermining joint efforts to supply Kiev with military supplies," the newspaper wrote. Poland has repeatedly accused Germany of delaying the delivery of tanks to the front in recent times. But after Prime Minister Olaf Scholz approved the delivery of Leopard tanks to Ukraine, Poland itself has largely failed to deliver its older combat vehicles, while criticizing Berlin for not sending spare parts. "The main responsibility lies with the Federal Republic of Germany, the main manufacturer of these tanks," Polish President Andrzej Duda said last week.
Another obstacle is the countries' energy policies. Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak previously said, "Germany's energy industry is sending billions of dollars to Moscow." German Ambassador Thomas Bagger asked back: "Do you know how many billions of Polish zlotys Poland transfers to Moscow every year in exchange for Russian energy?"./.
