On the evening of July 30, the VFF Disciplinary Board issued disciplinary decisions related to extremely serious violations in the Second Division play-off match between Ba Ria Vung Tau and Pho Hien at Tuy Hoa Stadium (Phu Yen) on July 18.
Accordingly, for the particularly serious physical assault on referee Nguyen Anh Vu and assistant referee Huynh Quoc Long, player Tran Quoc Tuan was permanently suspended and fined 25 million VND. Immediately after the incident, Tran Quoc Tuan's contract was terminated by his club.
Along with Tran Quoc Tuan’s above penalty, two other players of BRVT, Phan Cong Quynh Anh and Dinh Tien Phong, were suspended from playing for 18 months and fined 17.5 million VND. The reason is that both players had seriously violated the body of assistant referee Huynh Quoc Long.

Assistant referee Huynh Quoc Long himself was also suspended from participating in football activities managed and organized by VFF for 18 months and fined 17.5 million VND, for his particularly serious violation against player Tran Quoc Tuan of the Ba Ria-Vung Tau team. This assistant was the one who rushed in to kick the player when the chaotic incident occurred.
It is worth mentioning that the individuals involved in the above incident have all received penalties from the VFF Disciplinary Board, however, the BRVT Club itself has not received any penalties.
Previously, also for the act of chasing and beating the referee, in addition to the players receiving penalties, Vinh Long Club in the 2000 season was relegated 2 ranks.

VFF Disciplinary Board “forgot” the case of a player chasing and beating a referee in the Second Division
Despite announcing many disciplinary decisions related to the First Division and V-League last week, the VFF Disciplinary Board did not announce an even more serious disciplinary decision that occurred earlier in the national Second Division.
