On the afternoon of September 25, Tay Hieu Ward Police and the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department (PCCC&CNCH), Provincial Police promptly coordinated to handle and successfully prevent an incident that threatened to cause a serious fire and explosion in a residential area.
At about 4:45 p.m. the same day, the authorities received a report from the people that a man (born in 1982, residing in Tay Hieu ward), due to a family conflict, brought 3 12kg gas cylinders into the bedroom, opened the valve with the intention of committing suicide.
Immediately after receiving the information, Tay Hieu Ward Police and Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force quickly deployed a plan to approach, rescue people and ensure safety in the area. Another working group with fire trucks, rescue vehicles and officers and soldiers were urgently mobilized to the scene.
At the scene, the man showed signs of being unconscious, in a closed room with a strong smell of gas - a potential risk of fire and explosion. To ensure absolute safety, the authorities cut off all power in the area, and at the same time organized to mobilize and reassure the person involved.
After assessing the situation and determining that there was no reckless behavior, the rescue team broke the door, took the person out of the danger zone, and simultaneously disabled three open gas cylinders, ventilating the entire house to completely eliminate the risk of fire or explosion.
Currently, the authorities have organized mediation to resolve internal family conflicts to prevent similar situations from happening, and at the same time, prepared a file to handle the case according to regulations.
