Close-up of 1,000-year-old tea trees
The tea tree is as big as a water bucket, 10-15m high, growing in the middle of the old forest of Pa Vay Su commune, Phong Tho district, Lai Chau province and is considered a treasure. The tea tree is thousands of years old.
Pa Vay Su Commune has thousands of hectares of primeval forest. This place is covered with clouds all year round, at an altitude of 1,500m to 3,000m, there are countless rare plant species growing from this land. For many years, the Dao people here have always been proud that this place still preserves the ancient tea forest.
The delicious and premium tea has been exploited by the locals here. However, up to now, the processing of this ancient tea variety has not been systematically invested. It is estimated that the entire Pa Vay Su commune has thousands of ancient tea trees, located on the top of Khang Su Van.

The ancient Shan Tuyet tea forest belongs to Po Xa village, Pa Vay Su commune, Phong Tho district. The tea trees are tens of meters high and grow in the middle of the old forest. The journey to explore this tea forest has never been simple for anyone, except the local people. |
