Close-up of the 2017 SEA Games Press Center
The press center serving the 2017 SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur is quite magnificent for reporters from 11 Southeast Asian countries to work.
The SEA Games Media Center (MPC) and International Broadcasting Center (IBC) were inaugurated and put into operation on August 10 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).
SEA Games has up to 2,933 members of the press, radio, television, film studios... from various countries participating in the coverage - nearly 3 times higher than the 28th SEA Games in Singapore, so the host country Malaysia chose to focus its center at MITEC with a total complex area of up to 106,000 m2.

What's special about SEA Games 29 is that each reporter is given a separate wifi password, which ensures the quality of the internet connection and prevents interruptions while working.
Executive Director of the 29th SEA Games Secretariat Encik Shaiful Subhan bin Zahrin said that major news agencies in the world such as Agency France Presse, Reuters, AP, European Pressphoto Agency (EPA), Getty Images, American Eyes Press, Al Jazeera ... also registered to work at this Southeast Asian Games.
The SEA Games spirit with the slogan “Rising Together” has been demonstrated by Malaysia at least through their careful provision of accommodation for reporters working at this SEA Games, so that the information spread is not limited to the Southeast Asian region.
