Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists held the Conference of Branch Presidents of the Northern Region in Nghe An

Attending the conference were Associate Professor, Doctor, Musician Do Hong Quan - Party Secretary, President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations; Ms. Tran Thi Thu Dong - President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Vo Van Dung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Tran Thi My Hanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Nghe An; representatives of provincial departments, branches and sectors.

Since the beginning of the year, the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists has been proactive, actively implementing and carrying out many key tasks and plans such as: Guiding branches to organize and coordinate the celebration of the Photography Traditional Day in localities with many practical, exciting and solemn activities; successfully organizing the Southern Regional Branch President Conference and the Seminar "Development orientation of Vietnamese photography art" in Buon Ma Thuot city, Dak Lak province from March 9 to 13, 2024 with the support of the Dak Lak Provincial Literature and Arts Association; organizing and implementing the stages of the 3rd National Art Photography Competition and Exhibition "Pride of a Border Strip", chaired by the Central Propaganda Department; In coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibitions), successfully organized the Vietnam Art Photography Contest 2024. From now until the end of the term, the association will organize Vietnamese photography activities within the framework of implementing the plan to organize activities to summarize 50 years of Vietnamese literature and art after the country's reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), issued by the Central Propaganda Department; organize the Conference of Branch Presidents in the North and the Discussion on the Orientation for the Development of Vietnamese Photography in Nghe An; coordinate with the Central Propaganda Department to organize the summary and award ceremony of the National Photo Contest "Proud of a Border in 2024"; continue to develop the project "Creative Space and Digital Transformation of Vietnamese Artistic Photography Works at the Vietnam Artistic Photography Archives and Exhibition Center"; Coordinate with the Korean Photographers Association to organize a Photo Exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City; develop a plan to guide the organization of congresses of branches for the term (2024 - 2029). Building a personnel plan to prepare for the 10th Congress of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists (2025 - 2030) in 2025...

Attending and directing the conference, musician Do Hong Quan praised the activities of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists that have been carried out in the past time. At the same time, the President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations suggested that the association should pay special attention to the preparation work for the implementation of the congress of the grassroots association, towards the Congress of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists. In particular, the association should closely follow the Directive of the Central Secretariat and the Guidance of the Central Propaganda Department on the organization of the congress.

Through this conference, musician Do Hong Quan also hopesNghe An provincewill pay attention and create the best conditions for Nghe An Literature and Arts Association and its affiliated branches to successfully organize grassroots congresses.

Attending the conference, on behalf of Nghe An province, comrade Tran Thi My Hanh affirmed: "Photographic activities in Nghe An in recent years have received attention from all levels and sectors of the province, creating a good and rich development movement. Currently, the force of photography artists is relatively developed, many authors participate and win many awards at regional, national and international photo contests. Every year, the province has organized many photography contests and exhibitions, contributing to serving political tasks well, while promoting and introducing the relics, scenic spots, culture and people of the land of Nghe An to many domestic and international friends.
The Conference of Branch Heads of Vietnam Photographic Artists Associations in Northern provinces and cities and the Photography Workshop in Nghe An province held in the province are opportunities for photography artists to meet, exchange, share, learn and improve their knowledge.

The Director of the Department of Culture and Sports hopes: "The beauty of the land and people of Nghe An will bring inspiration for artists to capture the most beautiful images of the land of clear mountains and clear waters, the gentle, simple, hard-working, but also warm and hospitable people of Nghe An."

The conference will take place on October 7 and 8 in Vinh city, Nghe An province.
