October 6, 1292:Birthday of teacher and poet Chu Van An. Chu Van An, Han Thuyen, and Nguyen Si Co were the first people to use Nom script to compose literature. After his death, he was worshiped at the Temple of Literature (Hanoi).

October 6, 1907:Born The Lu, who was an early member of the Tu Luc Van Doan and became famous for his poem Nho rung. He was also one of the pioneers of the New Poetry movement from 1930-1945. During the resistance war against France, he was in charge of the Chien Thang Drama Troupe of the army.

October 6, 1955:The day of death of Tran Dang Ninh, revolutionary and military activist, first director of the General Department of Supply (now the General Department of Logistics) of the Vietnam People's Army (1950-1955).
