On the morning of June 21, the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee held a meeting to review and agree on the contents to prepare for the 4th session of the 17th Provincial People's Council.

Comrade Phan Duc Dong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, Head of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee chaired the meeting. Attending the meeting were Comrade Cao Thi Hien - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, members of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee and leaders of relevant departments and branches.

Discussing the draft Resolution on collection and exemption of civil status fees in Nghe An province, many delegates said that it is necessary to consider the scope of regulation, applicable subjects and reasonable fee collection levels, ensuring humanity and practicality, especially for subjects such as children, people with revolutionary contributions, etc.

Regarding the Resolution stipulating the specific allocation level for each type of legal document in Nghe An province and the draft Resolution on the content and expenditure level for state management of law enforcement and handling of administrative violations in Nghe An province, the delegates basically agreed with the draft. However, some delegates also said that it is necessary to consider the level of budget allocation to arrange reasonable financial resources, and the document format needs to be more rigorous.

Regarding the draft Resolution on handling the results of reviewing legal documents issued by the Provincial People's Council from December 31, 2016 and earlier that are still in effect, the report of the Department of Justice proposed to retain 101 Resolutions that are still in effect to continue to be uniformly implemented in the province, and to amend, supplement, and replace 18 Resolutions; 26 Resolutions have expired in full and 8 Resolutions have expired in part.

Concluding the meeting, comrade Phan Duc Dong - Head of the Legal Committee of the Provincial People's Council requested the Department of Justice to review the legal documents and supplement and complete the contents discussed and agreed upon at the meeting into the documents to prepare for the 4th session of the 17th Provincial People's Council.

On the afternoon of June 21 and June 22, delegates continued to discuss and give opinions on the draft Resolution amending and supplementing Resolution No. 65/2012/NQ-HDND dated December 13, 2012 of the Provincial People's Council regulating the level of allowances for cadres and civil servants working in receiving citizens, handling complaints, denunciations, petitions and reflections in the province; the draft Resolution amending and supplementing Resolution 66/2012/NQ-HDND dated December 13, 2012 of the Provincial People's Council on the level of deductions from recovered amounts discovered through inspection work that have been paid to the state budget in Nghe An province and a number of reports of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial People's Procuracy, the Provincial People's Court, the Provincial Civil Judgment Enforcement Agency on the results of work in the first 6 months of the year and tasks for the last 6 months of 2017.
