Need to strengthen closeness to the base in military recruitment tasks

On the morning of December 26, the People's Committee of Nghe An province held a conference to summarize the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army in 2017 and coordinating the handover and reception of soldiers in 2018.

According to the Provincial Military Command, in 2017, the province's military recruitment work completed the military transfer target, ensuring quality and on time. Some key tasks such as source registration, initial medical examination, recruitment examination, military number finalization, and military transfer contracts were implemented synchronously, in accordance with regulations and with absolute safety by districts, cities, and towns with military receiving units.

Dien Chau, Hung Nguyen, Nghi Loc, Tan Ky, Thanh Chuong, Nam Dan, Nghia Dan and Quy Chau districts were assessed by the Provincial Military Service Council to have excellently completed the task of selecting and calling citizens to join the army in 2017.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Le Xuan Dai suggested that members of the Provincial Military Service Council should further strengthen their close ties with the grassroots during the recruitment and military service process. In addition, districts, cities and towns need to step up propaganda work so that citizens are fully aware of their responsibilities and obligations when participating in military service.

"In addition, it is necessary to clearly define that the selection and calling of citizens to join the army in 2018 must be carried out in accordance with regulations, with sufficient numbers according to the goal of improving quality, ensuring safety and saving," said the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and requested that the units receiving soldiers also need to strengthen coordination and cooperation with local military agencies, have specific plans to unify targets, plans, times, and locations for receiving and handing over soldiers and ensure the highest safety for people and vehicles after marching back to the unit.
