On December 11, the Department of Cultural Heritage said that the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention (Ministry of Public Security) had just sent a document to the Department of Cultural Heritage requesting to handle the subject spreading fake information on Facebook.

The document stated that, according to the reflection of the Department of Cultural Heritage, at 8:47 a.m. on August 14, 2024, the Facebook page "Tran Nhat Anh" posted an article with the content: "On August 9, 2024, eel porridge of Nghe An province was included in the List of National Intangible Heritage. Congratulations to my hometown", posted with a photo of Decision No. 3737 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, which was confirmed by the Department of Cultural Heritage to be fake.

Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Preventionconducted a review, inspection, verification and found that: The Facebook page "Tran Nhat Anh" with the above posted content, the user is Ms. TTNA, hometown in Thanh Chuong district, Nghe An; currently living in Ho Chi Minh City as an online seller.

On September 17, 2024, the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention worked with Ms. TTNA and Mr. VTT (Ms. TTNA's husband); Ms. TTNA confirmed that she was the owner of the Facebook page "Tran Nhat Anh". At the same time, she admitted to posting on her Facebook page and the Fanpage "Luong Xu Nghe" with the content and accompanying photo of Decision 3737 that had not been verified as above.

Ms. TTNA said that the origin of the photo of Decision No. 3737 was that her husband accidentally read and downloaded it from social networks (but did not remember the original posting account). He then sent it to her to repost to promote the sale of the family's eel porridge products.

After being informed by the authorities that Decision No. 3737/QD-BVHTTDL was fake and the information posted above was false, Ms. TTNA and her husband realized their wrongdoing and voluntarily removed all posts on the Facebook account "Tran Nhat Anh" and the Fanpage "Luong Xu Nghe" (Checking at the time of work, the information posted with Decision 3737 no longer existed on the 2 related Facebook pages).

“Considering that Ms. TTTA and her husband have a sincere and cooperative attitude, admitting their violations due to limited awareness of the law, posting unverified information and images, this is the first violation, the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention has warned Ms. TTNA about the above violations. The couple has recognized the problem and learned from their mistakes, and at the same time, committed not to repeat the offense,” the document stated.
