Posting false information, man in Ky Son fined 7.5 million VND
(Baonghean.vn) - On May 10, Ky Son District Police invited PVN to work and issued a decision to administratively fine it 7.5 million VND for providing and sharing false information, damaging the reputation of agencies and organizations.
Through monitoring the situation on cyberspace, Ky Son District Police discovered that a Facebook account with the display name "NC" posted and shared articles and videos with false content about the district police force.
Faced with that situation, the District Police urgently organized to verify and clarify the incident. Thereby, the Police Agency identified PVN (born in 1997), residing in Pha Khao village, Pha Danh commune, Ky Son district, as the person using the Facebook account "NC" to post the above article and video.

Specifically, at around 9:00 p.m. on April 22, 2024, N. drove a motorbike with license plate 37F1.959.84 from Hoa Son village, Ta Ca commune to Muong Xen town when he was ordered by Task Force 373 of the District Police to stop the vehicle and check his alcohol concentration. However, N. did not comply and also used challenging and inappropriate words. Afterwards, N. posted articles and videos with false content about the District Police force on social networks.
Through work, PVN has admitted its violations and is clearly aware of the nature, extent and consequences of its actions.
Ky Son District Police have issued a decision to administratively fine PVN VND 7.5 million for providing and sharing false information that damages the reputation of agencies and organizations, as prescribed in Point a, Clause 1, Article 101, Decree 15/2020/ND-CP dated February 3, 2020 of the Government.
