The irony of Vietnam U23 players: Coach Troussier eliminated, Club did not sign contract
Having just been eliminated from the U23 Vietnam team, midfielder Bui Ngoc Long is now unemployed after failing to reach an agreement on a contract with Hoa Binh Club.
There are only 9 days left until the registration period for the 2023 National First Division players begins. In that context, Bui Ngoc Long's parting with Hoa Binh Club is a surprise. National playerU23 Vietnamand the Northwest team failed to reach an agreement on signing a contract.
Bui Ngoc Long has been training with Hoa Binh Club for the past 2 months. He is highly regarded in terms of skills but has not been able to reach a consensus with the Club during negotiations.
The deadline for registering players for the National Cup ends on May 17, and for the National First Division on March 23. Currently, most of the clubs in the First Division have completed their squads, so finding a new destination for Ngoc Long at this time is relatively difficult.

Bui Ngoc Long was once considered a potential player of Vietnamese football. He grew up from Viettel football center, then went to Than Quang Ninh since 2019 and was promoted to the first team in the 2021 V.League season.
After the Mining team stopped operating, Ngoc Long joined Saigon FC. In 2022, he went to Japan to play for Azul Claro Numazu Club in J.League 3 on loan for a short time. This is a contract within the cooperation program between Saigon FC and its partner in Japan.
Bad luck continued to haunt Ngoc Long when Saigon Club stopped operating at the end of the 2023 season. Ngoc Long once again fell into unemployment. It was thought that this player born in 2001 would have a favorable step forward when: Coach Troussier summoned him to the U23 Vietnam team, and was highly appreciated by the Hoa Binh Club after a 2-month trial. However, after only 1 week, he was eliminated from the U23 Vietnam team, the contract signing with the Hoa Binh Club fell through, Ngoc Long once again faced an uncertain future.
