Be wary of acts promoting 'color revolutions'.
On media and social networks, numerous images of armed conflict in Myanmar and protests and riots in Bangladesh and Venezuela have appeared. Taking advantage of this situation, hostile forces and exiled reactionary elements have spread distorted information and incited uninformed people to carry out a "color revolution" plot in Vietnam.

Conspiracy to incite a “color revolution”
"Color revolution" is a term referring to organized political violence, non-violent political upheavals in a sovereign state aimed at overthrowing the incumbent government, causing political crises through non-violent means, involving a combination of domestic masterminds and external forces, under the guise of "raising the banner of democracy," inciting people to march, protest, and riot to overthrow the government.
While previously the targets of color revolutions were socialist countries, they now occur in countries that are unfriendly to the US and the West. Therefore, in the late 20th and early 21st centuries, the world witnessed a series of color revolutions in countries with pluralistic, multi-party political systems in the Middle East and North Africa, as well as in Eastern Europe such as Georgia and Ukraine. This led to political instability in those countries, the consequences of which continue to this day.
Recently, there has been a lot of information and images about protests and riots in Venezuela, Bangladesh, and especially Myanmar. Along with that, protests have escalated from anti-government demonstrations to armed and ethnic conflicts. Hostile forces are exploiting social media, through platforms like Facebook, Telegram, and YouTube, to carry out their plot to lure people in these countries into participating in "color revolutions."
Hostile forces, exiled reactionary organizations, and dissident elements have thoroughly exploited social media to distort information and manipulate public opinion for other purposes.
Through thematic commentary and discussions, they subtly infiltrate the narrative, fabricating and distorting history, slandering national leaders and the Party's leadership role, and plotting to incite riots and protests in Vietnam. Websites like Viet Tan and Chan Troi Moi Media engage in rhetoric such as "Will Vietnam become like Venezuela?"; "Congratulations to the people of Bangladesh on changing their dictatorship, when will it be Vietnam's turn?"...

Hostile forces are thoroughly exploiting cyberspace to spread propaganda and incite people to advocate for changes to the social foundation. Using the slogans of civil rights and democracy, they call on readers to carry out "color revolutions," primarily "online color revolutions." They exploit pressing social issues such as environmental pollution, land disputes, and maritime sovereignty to attack and slander the socialist regime that Vietnam is building. From there, they call for change to follow the democratic model of the US and the West…
High vigilance is needed, especially among young people.
It is readily apparent that in the "color revolutions" that have occurred, the role of young people, students, and schoolchildren has been quite significant. The ringleaders have incited the desire of this age group to express themselves and become inspirational figures, thereby attracting and exploiting them.
Of course, in countries where "color revolutions" occur, the benefits are yet to be seen; instead, those nations remain mired in prolonged conflict and instability for decades. This is because the goal of those carrying out "color revolutions" is to destabilize the country to serve their own interests, disregarding history, the nation, and the freedom and happiness of the people.
Most of the riots and coups were impulsive and uncontrolled. From there, major powers sought to intervene with their own political agendas, serving their own interests. Along with this, the extensive exploitation of media and social networks for subversive purposes further exacerbated the situation, making it increasingly out of control...

In Vietnam, in recent times, some reactionary organizations have often disguised themselves as "democracy," "human rights," and "civil society" groups to call for and conspire to undermine the Party and the State. Their actions have negatively impacted the political and social life of our country, affecting security and order. These organizations seek to recruit and send some young people abroad for training, but in reality, their purpose is to gather forces, incite riots and protests domestically, and establish opposition political organizations.
They infiltrate student and youth groups to post articles and images distorting the situation in Vietnam. From there, they nurture and cultivate revolutionary and leadership-oriented ideologies. In particular, through private groups on Telegram and Facebook, they spread the "American Dream," portraying glamorous images of a luxurious, upper-class society abroad. This is a very dangerous form of subversive activity that every parent and student needs to be highly vigilant about.
Authorities need to pay more attention to disseminating information to students, young people, and intellectuals. Political and social organizations such as the Youth Union, the Vietnam Youth Federation, and the Vietnam Student Association need to strengthen their educational and awareness campaigns to help young people and students understand the schemes and true nature of "color revolutions," and to steer clear of organizations masquerading as civil society groups and movements that falsely claim to be "patriotic" but are actually calling for gatherings and disrupting security and order. In particular, they should be highly vigilant against scholarships disguised as non-governmental organizations (NGOs) or other disguised civil society organizations.

At the same time, useful forums should be established on social networks in various forms to attract the participation of the youth community. These forums should regularly provide information about the schemes and tactics of the "peaceful evolution" strategy so that young people can recognize and be vigilant.
Along with that, we must strengthen the dissemination of information about historical values and national pride, so that every Vietnamese person, especially the younger generation today, understands the great value of the national liberation revolutions and the cause of reform. This is also the basis for young people not to be misled or deluded by theories calling for street revolutions, non-violent resistance, and incitement to overthrow the regime, which the enemy claims is "for a better future." Through this, we can "build resistance" among the younger generation and the people against distorted, false, and provocative information from opposition organizations and individuals.
