AFP reported that French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said that in an anti-terrorism operation, the country's police arrested a subject on March 24 in Argenteuil, a northwestern suburb of the capital Paris.

Speaking at a press conference, Mr. Cazeneuve said that this French citizen was arrested that morning due to "involvement in a terrorist network" plotting an attack on French territory.

According to him, this raid allowed French security forces to foil the terrorist attack plot - which was in its "mature" stage.

However, Mr. Cazeneuve affirmed that there was no evidence to suggest any link between this arrest and the series of terrorist attacks in Paris and Brussels"./.
