According to the police: At 8:00 p.m. on March 22, Hai and Cuong went to the house of Le Van A. (24 years old, residing in Minh Hung commune, Chon Thanh district) to meet Ms. Phan Thi Cam H. (28 years old, A's girlfriend) to demand the amount of 20 million VND that Ms. H. owed Cuong before.
Because he had no money to pay, Hai rushed in to beat Ms. H., but A. intervened. At that time, Hai's accomplices and Cuong (about 8 people with unknown identities) used machetes for no reason to slash Tran The Canh (21 years old, living in Chon Thanh town) who was playing at A.'s house, but missed.
Then, Hai and Cuong's group controlled Ms. H. and A. onto a motorbike and took them to Hoa Nang coffee shop (Hamlet 2, Thanh Tam commune, Chon Thanh district).
Because the restaurant had many customers, Hai's group continued to take Ms. H. to the rubber plantation in Hamlet 4, Tru Van Tho Commune, Bau Bang District (Binh Duong) and then used an electric gun to shock H. and A. At midnight on March 23, Hai and Cuong's group left. Ms. H. and A. went to My Phuoc General Hospital (Binh Duong) for treatment.
