Dog thief arrested after 4km run and throwing chili powder
During the chase, they repeatedly forced the car to stop and tried to throw chili powder at the patrol team but failed. After more than 4km of pursuit, the police force arrested them with the evidence.
On the afternoon of May 28, Senior Lieutenant Le Van Tuan, Deputy Chief of Binh Hoa Ward Police, Thuan An Town (Binh Duong) said: Through patrol, Nguyen Hoang Duy (26 years old) and Pham Le Hieu Hanh (44 years old, both living in Ho Chi Minh City) were arrested for theft of property.

Receiving information from the people, two dog thieves were escaping on a motorbike towards Highway 743. Immediately, the patrol team of Binh Hoa Ward Police chased after them and discovered two subjects with identifying characteristics as described.
When discovered, they sped away. During the chase, they repeatedly forced the car to stop and threw chili powder at the patrol team, but were unsuccessful. After more than 4km of pursuit, the police arrested them with the evidence.

At the police station, both confessed that they had just returned from stealing dogs. The sack contained two recently dead dogs, which had been sealed shut. The bag the subjects were carrying contained all the “tools” including electric shockers, dog poison, chili powder, etc.
They have been stealing dogs for more than 2 years now and often "hunt" in Thu Duc district, district 9 (Ho Chi Minh City), Di An and Thuan An (Binh Duong).
