Openly admitting mistakes when making mistakes on the sidelines of the Semi-final round of the Sea Chrysanthemum Ao Dai Festival in Cua Lo town

According to Vice Chairman of Cua Lo Town People's Committee Hoang Van Phuc, to kick off the 2023 tourism year, Cua Lo Town has planned to organize the 2023 Sea Chrysanthemum Ao Dai Festival. The plan to organize the Festival has been led, directed and commented on by the Standing Committee of the Town Party Committee.

The initial activities of the Festival took place as planned, attracting the attention of many people inside and outside the province. However, before the Semi-final round taking place on March 11 and 12, when the contestants were traveling on motorbikes and jeeps to participate in the check-in experience program, some unfortunate incidents occurred.
Specifically, before the Semi-final round, the Organizing Committee organized for the contestants to participate in a number of sideline activities such as: Offering incense at the Monument to the heroic martyrs; environmental protection activities; visiting famous historical sites in the area such as Bau Loi Temple, Van Loc Temple, Lan Chau Island, Vinpearl Cua Hoi, Cua Hoi Bridge...

According to the proposal of the event unit, there is a motorcycle club operating in the town, ready to support the contestants to move and take photos to check-in at Lan Chau Island, Vinpearl Cua Hoi, and Cua Hoi Bridge. The plan proposed by the event unit was agreed by the Organizing Committee. However, in the group of 20 motorcycles and 6 jeeps, there were 2 jeeps and 2 drivers who were decorated and used inappropriate costumes, causing bad public opinion. The Organizing Committee discovered this when the group moved to Vinpearl Cua Hoi, and immediately after that, requested to end the journey.

Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Cua Lo Town Hoang Van Phuc said that the Organizing Committee recognized this as an incident, a "grain of sand" that should not have happened in the chain of activities aiming for good things. Leading to this incident, the Organizing Committee, the event unit and the assigned authorities did not fully inspect the vehicles and uniforms of the drivers before departure, during the journey. The Organizing Committee, the event unit, and the authorities seriously learned from experience, discussed solutions to well organize and implement the Cua Lo Sea Chrysanthemum Ao Dai Festival in 2023, and the assigned tasks in the coming time.

On January 5, 2023, the People's Committee of Cua Lo town issued Plan No. 02/KH-BTC on organizing the Sea Daisy Ao Dai Festival in 2023. Purpose of the Festivalto promote the image of Cua Lo tourism to friends from all over the world, contribute to preserving, developing and spreading the image of sea daisies - a typical flower of Cua Lo beach, and at the same time honor the beauty of Vietnamese women through the traditional ao dai.
After 2 months of launching, the Festival attracted 408 contestants to participate in the Preliminary round, selecting 50 excellent contestants to participate in the Semi-final round. Up to now, the Festival has selected 29 best contestants to participate in the Final round which will be held on the night of March 18. |
