(Baonghean.vn) - Striker Nguyen Cong Phuong will not have a chance to play when Sint Truiden visits Eupen in round 6 of the Belgian National Championship on August 31; Mr. Akira Nishino does not want the players to be distracted by Mr. Park Hang-seo and his team before the match on September 5 at Thammasat Stadium.

Cong Phuong is not on the list again.

Cong Phuong was not included in the 20-man squad that coach Marc Brys had registered for the match against Eupen. His place in midfield was taken by the 32-year-old new signing Steven De Ridder, who signed a contract on August 27.

This is the second time Cong Phuong has not been on the Sint Truiden roster this season. The first time he was left out was in the third round, when coach Marc Brys’ team won 2-1 against Standard Liege on August 11.

Cong Phuong's hope of playing is getting less and less as Sint Truiden has just bought 3 more players for the attack.

Cong Phuong joined Sint Truiden at the beginning of the 2019 season on a 1-year loan contract from HAGL. But after 5 rounds, he only played 20 minutes, in the 0-6 loss to Club Brugge on August 2.

Earlier this week, coach Marc Brys pushed Cong Phuong down to play for the youth team. He scored his first goal in Belgium, when the home team lost 1-2 to the youth team of Club Brugge.

Although he was not allowed to play, Cong Phuong still had to train in Belgium and could not join the Vietnam national team early. On September 2, he flew from Belgium to Thailand to join coach Park Hang-seo to play in the opening match of the second qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup - Asia region 3 days later.

After the first two training sessions were open to the media, coach Nishino began to impose martial law by banning the press from working in the following days until further notice. All information will be passed through the Football Association of Thailand (FAT).

Before each training session of the Thai team, the media staff will interview two players. Normally, the players will answer whatever they think about the match against Vietnam, but the Japanese coach has given a warning.

He requested that the players will not be asked or mentioned about the Vietnamese opponent in the internal interviews conducted by the FAT's media staff. The content will only revolve around the players' feelings about the new coach, the feeling of returning or the first time joining the national team.

"I am very proud to be called up. Coach Nishino is a person who focuses a lot on discipline so we became more disciplined right from the first days of training. He is very strict but the important thing is that we feel confident and not pressured," midfielder Sivakorn Tiatrakul said.

"The coach is a friendly person, he has been joking with us since the first days. There is an interpreter who understands football so it is not difficult for the players to understand Mr. Nishino's intentions," said Anon Amornlerdsak.

Coach Nishino's goal is to get the players to focus their minds on the training session, the lesson plan and how to play the game, and not be distracted by how strong or weak the opponent is or the personnel. These are the issues that the press has raised in the first two training sessions.

The Thai national football team has received much attention from domestic football fans before the match against Vietnam. In recent times, Thai national teams have all lost to Vietnam, putting pressure on not only the players but also the country's football organization.
Losing to Korea, Vietnam finished second at the 2019 International U15 Tournament

U15 Korea proved that they were the better team right from the opening whistle. The away team had a lot of possession of the ball, pushing the Vietnamese players back to their own half. Overall, U15 Vietnam played a bit worse in the first half.

However, the attacks of the team from Korea were not effective. On the other side of the front line, U15 Vietnam was always ready to launch counter-attacks but also created enough danger to the opponent's goal.

The first half ended without any goals. In the second half, U15 Korea continued to dominate the game and scored an early goal in the 54th minute. In a corner kick, the Korean player took advantage of his height to head the ball to open the score.

After conceding a goal, U15 Vietnam pressed forward to find an equalizer. Immediately, opportunities came to coach Dinh The Nam and his team. In the 74th minute, U15 Vietnam's striker fired a tricky shot that forced the Korean goalkeeper to dive to block. The ball bounced back just in time for striker Cai Van Quy to shoot to equalize the score.

A few minutes later, Cai Van Quy scored again. The ball was sent in from the left wing, found this striker and the goal brought the lead to 2-1 for U15 Vietnam.

Despite taking the lead, U15 Vietnam could not maintain their concentration in the following minutes. In the short 4 minutes (85 and 88), U15 Korea scored 2 goals, including one from the penalty spot, setting the score at 3-2 in the final match of the 2019 International U15 Championship.

Despite losing in the final, coach Dinh The Nam and his team won the runner-up position. Previously, in the third-place match, U15 Russia defeated U15 Myanmar 3-1 to win the Bronze Medal.
