V.League's best young player leaves U22 Vietnam

Striker Le Van Thuan will not be part of the upcoming journey of U22 Vietnam at the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship. The best young player of V.League 2024/25 will have the opportunity in the next training sessions.

In the last June training session, Van Thuan was called up to the U22 Vietnam team for the first time. He left his mark with a goal against U22 Taiwan in a friendly match on July 2. The fact that Van Thuan could not continue to accompany the U22 Vietnam team surprised many people.

According to the plan, U22 Vietnam will train in Ba Ria Vung Tau until July 14 before leaving for Indonesia to participate in the Southeast Asian U23 Championship, taking place from July 15 to 29. In the group stage, the team will meet Laos (July 19) and Cambodia (July 22).

With the approval of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, from July 7 to July 15, the Department of Political Work (Ministry of Public Security) coordinated with the Vietnam Sports Department, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and main sponsors: T&T Group and SHB to host the ASEAN Police Football Tournament at Hang Day Stadium (Hanoi) and PVF Stadium (Hung Yen).

This year's tournament brings together 8 teams from 7 countries, including 5 ASEAN teams, 1 guest team from outside the region and 2 host teams.

According to the draw results, the teams were divided into 2 groups. Group A includes CAND Vietnam I, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia; Group B includes CAND Vietnam II, Australia, Singapore, East Timor. The teams will compete in a round robin to calculate points, the top 2 teams in each group will enter the semi-finals and the 2 winning teams in the semi-finals will meet in the final to choose the champion.

Accordingly, players Hoang Van Toan and Giap Tuan Duong will play for Vietnam People's Public Security I; Nguyen Huy Hung and Nguyen Van Dung will play for Vietnam People's Public Security II.

Mr. Duc spends 20 billion VND to recruit 2 "huge" foreign soldiers

Mr. Duc has decided to spend 20 billion VND to recruit 2 foreign players of Brazilian nationality to strengthen the mountain town team in V-League 2025/2026.

The first name is Khevin Rodrigo Fraga. The 27-year-old player is 1m92 tall and his contract with Hibernians (Malta) has just expired. Fraga's best position is defensive midfielder but he can also play well as a center back and central midfielder. Fraga is valued at 350,000 Euros by the transfer website Transfermarkt.

Second is striker Gabriel Conceicao, born in 2001, 1m83 tall, former player of Boavista Club in Brazil. Last season, Conceicao played 21 matches, scored 3 goals and 1 assist. Previously, Hoang Anh Gia Lai's squad had 2 foreign players including Jairo Rodrigues and Marciel da Silva.

Recently, Hoang Anh Gia Lai also recruited coach Higor Felliny Cruz to take over as goalkeeper coach for the team.

Higor Felliny is 45 years old and has 22 years of experience coaching goalkeepers after ending a 7-year professional playing career. Mr. Higor Felliny has worked at clubs such as Coritiba and Trieste FC - names with a tradition of youth training in Brazil.

The most notable point is that Mr. Higor owns 2 type A goalkeeper coaching licenses issued by CBF (Brazilian Football Federation) and CONMEBOL (South American Football Confederation).

"Red Devils" Man United recruit 18-year-old talent

Man United have just completed the signing of young talent Diego Leon from Cerro Porteno, but the price and contract term have not been disclosed. This is Man United's second contract in the 2025 summer transfer window.
