U23 Vietnam players participate in donating money to auction balls and shirts for the poor
Coach Park Hang Seo and some of his students witnessed the ceremony to give 20 billion VND to the poor from the auction of footballs and jerseys.
On the morning of March 11, in Hanoi, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc presented 20 billion VND collected fromYesAuction of footballs and jerseys of the U23 Vietnam team to representatives of 20 poor districts in 10 provinces.
Coach Park Hang Seo and some U23 players attended the ceremony. Center back Bui Tien Dung said he was honored to have helped the team win the recent U23 Asian Cup and attract many sponsors to support the poor through the ball auction. The team also donated a portion of the prize money and sponsorship money to support people in difficult circumstances.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc welcomed the coordination of ministries and sectors in organizing the auction of memorabilia of the U23 team, creating a source of funding to help poor districts, and congratulated FLC Group for successfully participating in the auction.
The Prime Minister requested leaders of 20 poor districts to build 500 houses (each house costs 40 million VND) for meritorious people and poor people in difficult circumstances, ensuring publicity, transparency, and the right beneficiaries.

The Prime Minister congratulated the Vietnam U23 team on their success in the recent tournament, considering it a source of pride for the country. "I hope that after winning the runner-up position in the U23 Asian Cup, Vietnamese football will make new progress, be more steadfast and courageous, to be worthy of the trust and love of the people," the Prime Minister emphasized.
Previously, on January 28, at the U23 team's recognition ceremony right after returning home, the team presented Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc with a ball and a jersey signed by the team members. The Prime Minister presented two souvenirs to Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung and Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan to auction to raise funds for the poor.
The soccer ball auction created a strong social impact. A child in Pleiku - Gia Lai wanted to participate in the auction with his breakfast savings; a retired cadre in Dong Nai wanted to exchange for a plot of land; a farmer in Kon Tum wanted to exchange for 1 hectare of rubber. Before the auction ended, FLC Group bid 12 billion VND for the two objects and then raised it to 20 billion VND, the highest price and the final winning bidder.
