In 2013, although the company had just started production and faced many difficulties, it achieved important results. The company's output reached 3,200 thousand pairs of gloves and 900 thousand clothing products. In 2014, the company planned to produce 4,200 thousand pairs of gloves and 1,050 thousand clothing products. To achieve these results, one of the measures the company proposed was to create the best conditions for workers to work with peace of mind. Currently, the average income of workers is from 2.7 to 3.5 million VND. In the first month, workers are paid up to 70% of their salary, and if they are proficient in the job in the second month, they will receive 100% of their salary. In addition, each worker is also provided with a lunch by the company at 19,500 VND/meal. The company has signed a contract with a Korean first-class catering company to ensure nutrition and food safety for workers. Mr. Le Thanh Tinh, Head of the company's General Affairs Department, said: The income of the company's workers is quite high compared to the current average and strives for an average income of 4 million VND/person/month.
While many workers in rural areas tend to move to industrial parks and export processing zones in the southern provinces, retaining workers is one of the priorities set by Haivina Kim Lien Company Limited. The company has introduced a number of measures to create the best working environment for workers. Currently, the company has provided all workers with raincoats, helmets, winter and summer clothes, and factory slippers. In the workshops, the company has placed medical cabinets to take care of workers' health. For pregnant workers and workers with children under 1 year old, the company applies a policy of allowing workers to rest 1 hour in advance to help them ensure their health and take care of their families. Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga, a worker in the garment sewing department with a 9-month-old child, said: I have a small child, so the company gives me priority so I only have to work 7 hours and can go home early. Therefore, I have the conditions to take care of and educate my children.
Not only implementing good labor policies, the company also organizes many meaningful cultural and sports activities for workers to participate. Every Tuesday and Thursday, workers are given 10 minutes in the morning to exercise. On Friday, the company arranges for workers to rest, meditate and listen to music to create a comfortable mind and spirit after work. Not only that, many cultural activities such as gala, beauty contest, good voice with valuable prizes have also been well implemented by the company, leaving many beautiful images in the eyes of workers. In 2013, the company allocated 400 million VND to build 5 charity houses, each worth 80 million VND for 5 families in difficult circumstances in Hung Nguyen and Nam Dan districts.
With the goal of building a healthy and civilized production environment, each worker before entering the company must attend a training course on the working environment as well as customer requirements. It is absolutely forbidden for workers and company staff to speak loudly to each other. Assessing the quality of labor, Mr. Kim Chul Ho, Production Director of the company, said: Before investing in Nghe An, the company conducted investigations and surveys in many localities across the country and found that Nghe An, specifically Nam Dan district, has an abundant and skillful labor force. During the operation process, the quality of labor has been increasingly improved due to the diligence in learning, grasping knowledge and techniques quickly of the workers. However, the company really hopes that there must be competition among workers, from which the company's activities can be promoted to develop more and more.
