Up to now, the whole province has 540 kindergartens, including 40 non-public schools with 7,005 classes. Thereby, 20.3% of nursery-age children, 90.1% of kindergarten children and 99.9% of 5-year-old kindergarten children have been mobilized to go to school.

In addition, the industry has also developed many quality topics such as "Building child-centered kindergartens", contributing significantly to changing schools towards green - clean - beautiful - friendly and safe for children.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Thai Huy Vinh - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training highly appreciated the efforts of the entire preschool level in recent years. However, he also pointed out the shortcomings and limitations. That is, the rate of mobilizing children to go to school at the preschool level in the province is still lower than the national average and according to the development roadmap, there are still many shortcomings.

Along with that, the number of teachers for preschool education is lacking, the arrangement of the teaching staff still has many limitations such as rotating teachers from different levels to teach preschool education, and illegal teacher contracts. In addition, the situation of overload is still common, leading to many difficulties in caring for children, especially in terms of safety.

The Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training frankly said that there are still units violating the socialization of education and school violence. In some localities, preschool education has not received the attention of the government and Party committees, and the mobilization of socialization is still difficult. In many schools, there are still principals who are not exemplary, overcharging, overspending, and in the direction there is still the phenomenon of "aspiration but recklessness, enthusiasm but violations, determination but patriarchy".

In the 2018-2019 school year, the leaders of the Department of Education and Training required all levels of education to pay attention to management, infrastructure construction, and information technology training for educational institutions and teachers.

In particular, it is necessary to pay attention to school security, stop overcharging, stop violence in schools; ensure that educational facilities are green - clean - beautiful, and ensure food hygiene and safety.

In addition, it is necessary to continue promoting the socialization of education to accelerate the speed of national standard schools, along with quality inspection, with special attention to sanitation facilities for schools.

At the same time, actively innovate management methods, innovate teacher training, improve education quality, increase boarding students and universalize preschool education for 5-year-old children in a sustainable manner.

The conference took place online at 21 locations in 21 districts, cities and towns with the participation of department leaders and more than 500 school principals.

At the conference, with a frank spirit, many opinions also mentioned issues such as difficulties in managing non-public kindergartens (especially in revenue and expenditure management and unstable teaching staff).

Besides, many localities also requested the province to soon have a mechanism to recruit contract teachers to solve the problem of serious teacher shortage in preschools today.
