With youth and passion, Mr. Vi Van Huy in Con village, Chau Ly commune (Quy Hop) has transformedarid, barren hilly area in the localitybecome a green, fertile land with fish ponds and gardens.
He boldly took over the abandoned land of households in the hamlet to plant 20 hectares of acacia combined with mixed livestock farming with more than 80 pigs, 20 buffaloes and cows and more than 1 hectare of water surface area for raising freshwater fish. Starting from scratch, after 5 years, this model brings Huy's family an average of over 300 million VND per year.
Not only a pioneer and a shining example in economic development, Vi Van Huy is also a Youth Union Secretary who is always active and proactive in Youth Union work and youth movements with many diverse and creative activities.practical and united, gathering Thai ethnic youth to participate.

In particular, Vi Van Huy had the initiative to propose that the Con Village Youth Union boldly ask the commune to bid for the vacant land area of the locality after converting the land. After receiving the contract for 1,600m2 of land, he gathered and mobilized the Youth Union members in the hamlet to produce rice, deducting expenses, each year collecting more than 5 million VND in funds for the Youth Union to operate.
Every year, with the savings fund, the Con village youth union has donated 50 gifts worth 10 million VND to policy beneficiaries and poor children who have overcome difficulties to study well. Along with that, the youth union participates in repairing houses for households in the village with especially difficult economic circumstances.
At the same time, he actively mobilized the Youth Union in the village to carry out many meaningful projects and tasks such as building rural roads, cleaning the environment, propagating to the people to eliminate bad customs, practice a civilized lifestyle, etc.
Sharing about his initial successes, Vi Van Huy said that he was happiest because he had helped families and children in difficult circumstances to rise up in life. “For me, learning from Uncle Ho’s noble morality and personality means carrying out specific actions and deeds of youth. Step by step, affirming the role and position of youth in society, to be more worthy of the trust, love and expectations that Uncle Ho always had for the youth.
