White House Chief of Staff John Kelly met with US President Donald Trump in late March and offered to leave the White House.

John Kelly is a former four-star general of the US Marine Corps. Before being appointed as White House Chief of Staff in late July 2017, he was Secretary of Homeland Security.
President Trump has repeatedly praised Mr. Kelly for his homeland security work, including tightening border controls and implementing a ban on immigration from six Muslim-majority countries.
John Kelly is one of Mr Trump's closest generals.
