Delegates debating right in the hall is one of the new features of this National Assembly session.
On the afternoon of October 25, on the sidelines of the National Assembly, Colonel Nguyen Huu Cau said that this is a very good thing. “We are local representatives. We reflect the reality, so those who receive it will have to think very carefully before answering.”
The Director of Nghe An Provincial Police also said that when a delegate speaks before the National Assembly, it means that he has put all his heart, intelligence and capacity into ensuring that his words are of quality, not just speaking for the sake of it.
“This is the honor and responsibility of the representative to the voters. Therefore, I really like the idea of giving feedback,” the National Assembly representative stated.
According to Mr. Nguyen Huu Cau, when he was the first debater, other National Assembly delegates welcomed him very much.
“I want our opinions and responsibilities to voters to be conveyed to the National Assembly. Those are the most refined and quintessential things.”
Previously, on the afternoon of October 18, the Office of the National Assembly held a press conference to inform about the expected agenda of the 2nd session of the 14th National Assembly. Mr. Nguyen Hanh Phuc - Member of the Party Central Committee - General Secretary of the National Assembly - Head of the Office of the National Assembly chaired the press conference.
Secretary General of the National Assembly Nguyen Hanh Phuc said that the new point of this session is that the speeches in the hall will create conditions for debate, and at the same time invite the reporting agency and the Minister to answer the delegates to clarify the contents.
Regarding the design for debate, Mr. Phuc also said that in addition to registration, delegates can raise a debate registration board to increase discussion conditions in the hall.
In addition, if the discussion takes place in the morning, the remaining delegates will ask questions for the Government members to answer directly. If the delegates’ ideas are not fully answered, they will be allowed to answer in writing. “This is permitted by law,” said Mr. Phuc.
