8-year-old girl had both legs broken by the iron gate of the cultural house that suddenly collapsed

According to the victim's family, on the afternoon of June 11, Hoang Thi Tho (born 2013) in Hamlet 2, Thanh Ha Commune was playing with her friends in front of the hamlet's cultural house when the gate broke and collapsed. Many children escaped, but Tho was crushed by the gate.

When discovering the incident, some people in the neighborhood came to remove the gate and took Tho away from the scene. After that, he was taken to Thanh Chuong District General Hospital and transferred toNghe An Maternity and Pediatrics Hospitalduring the day

According to the hospital medical records, Tho suffered multiple injuries, including two broken legs, a broken pelvis, brain trauma, and suspected brain hematoma. On June 12, Tho underwent surgery, had a cruciate ligament inserted, and a pelvic bone grafted. After the surgery, her health is still weak and she is being monitored for brain trauma, awaiting intervention.

From the hospital, Ms. Nguyen Thi Sen (39 years old) - Tho's mother said: "The afternoon before, my husband and I came home from working in the field and saw Tho playing in the yard. A while later, we heard people in the neighborhood calling that Tho had an accident outside the cultural house. When I ran out, I saw people carrying Tho out of the gate, covered in blood."

Hoang Thi Tho is the second child in a family of three siblings. Her family is in a difficult situation. Her father, Hoang Van Thong (44 years old), had a motorbike accident, lost one eye, is in poor health, and cannot do heavy work. Currently, both Thong and his wife are on duty, taking care of their child at the hospital.

It is known that in recent days, Hamlet 2, Thanh Ha Commune is building a ditch along the road passing through the hamlet's cultural house. Right in front of the gate of the cultural house, the ditch is being repaired. At the scene where Tho had the accident, the right gate post (looking out) of the cultural house was broken into 3 pieces (1 piece still attached to the foundation, 2 pieces are lying on the ditch). A door is lying on the ground, warped.

The cause of the accident is believed to be that the gate post of the cultural house was built a long time ago, and is hollow and has no steel. The ditch in front of the gate is being repaired. When the children were playing around the gate, they grabbed onto the door, causing the gate post to collapse, causing the accident.
