Regarding the murder case of a woman killed in a rented room in Binh Duong on July 18, today (July 20), Binh Duong Provincial Police are detaining Luu Minh Nhi (18 years old, from An Giang) to investigate the act of murder and robbery.

Nhi was identified as the suspect who murdered Ms. Luu Thi Thu (51 years old, from Kien Giang) in a rented room in Binh Dang neighborhood, Binh Hoa ward, Thuan An town, Binh Duong.
At the police station, Nhi confessed that he was Thu's niece and lived in the same rented room. On the evening of July 17, Nhi came home late from playing games and was scolded by Thu. In a fit of anger, the subject used a knife to kill Thu, took a gold ring and cash from the victim, then invited his girlfriend, Nguyen Thi My Chau (15 years old, living in Binh Duong), to escape from the rented room.
On the afternoon of July 19, while the two were playing games in an Internet cafe in Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai, they were discovered by local residents and reported to the police for arrest.
Because My Chau is not old enough to be held criminally responsible, the investigation agency released her on bail and handed her over to her family for management.
As reported, on the morning of July 18, Ms. Thu's son-in-law came to the rented room and found the door locked from the outside. When he used the key to open the door, he was shocked to discover Ms. Thu lying on the floor next to a pool of blood, with a wound on her neck.
