(Baonghean.vn) - Chelsea will play Real, while Man City will face Atletico in the quarter-finals of the 2021-2022 Champions League. Meanwhile, Xavi and his team have an easier draw when they face Eintracht Frankfurt instead of West Ham, Leipzig or Atalanta.
Chelsea vs Real in Champions League quarter-finals
The quarter-finals featured six clubs from England and Spain, but none of the games were contested between the same country. What fans expected happened when two matches were contested between the two countries. Chelsea - Real Madrid and Man City - Atletico Madrid were of course the focus of the quarter-finals, as they represented the powerhouses of the Premier League and La Liga.
Real will have the chance to get revenge on Chelsea, when the Spanish royal club was eliminated by this opponent in the semi-finals last season with a score of 3-1. Real is stronger this season, after eliminating PSG in the round of 16 with a final score of 3-2. Karim Benzema is in good form, and Vinicius Junior is increasingly mature. Real's problem is that they will have to overcome history, having never won against Chelsea in 5 matches.

Liverpool will most likely meet Bayern in the semi-finals, promising a feast of attacking football.
The first leg of the quarter-finals will be played on April 5 and 6, with the return leg a week later. The first leg of the semi-finals will be played on April 26 and 27, with the return leg a week later. The final will be played at the Stade de France in Paris on May 28.
Barca to meet German club in Europa League quarter-finals

The second German team to reach the quarter-finals, RB Leipzig, will face Atalanta (Italy). This is a match between two clubs in a similar situation to Barca, having been relegated to the Europa League after finishing third in the Champions League group stage. Leipzig will not have to play in the round of 16 because their opponents, Spartak Moscow, were eliminated from the tournament by UEFA as a punishment for Russia's conflict with Ukraine.
The first leg of the Europa League quarter-finals will be played on April 7 and the second leg will be played a week later. The semi-finals will be held on April 28 and May 5, respectively. The final will be played on May 18 at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium in Seville, Spain.
Barca are considered the number one candidate for the championship despite never having won the Europa League. Fans of the Catalan team have more faith in that when witnessing the strong revival of the home team. Barca are unbeaten in 11 matches and determined to win the first title under Xavi.
Following the Europa League draw, UEFA also held the Europa Conference League quarter-final draw. The third-tier European competition will see Premier League club Leicester face off against PSV Eindhoven, who are competing for the Dutch title with Ajax.
Another notable quarter-final tie is the rematch between AS Roma and Bodo/Glimt. In the group stage, the Norwegian club handed Jose Mourinho the heaviest defeat of his European Cup coaching career, a 6-1 defeat. In the return leg at home, Roma also needed a late goal from defender Roger Ibanez to draw 2-2 with Bodo/Glimt.
PSV's fellow countrymen Feyenoord face Czech club Slavia Prague while Marseille take on Greek club PAOK. The Conference League quarter-finals and semi-finals are on the same day as the Europa League quarter-finals and semi-finals. But the final will be played on May 25 at Arena Kombetare in Albania.
