On the afternoon of December 3, Cai Rang District Police, Can Tho City, and the Criminal Police Department of Can Tho City Police were still taking statements and consolidating the case file of a slashing case causing injuries in Hong Loan residential area, Hung Thanh ward, Cai Rang district.
According to initial information, at around 10am the same day, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tan (34 years old, residing in Can Tho) and some people in the group "Long distance friends" went to the headquarters of Tu Anh company owned by Le Tan Tu (36 years old). This company had previously towed the car of Mr. Trinh Hong Phuong (residing in Di An, Binh Duong) on December 1 at the Cai Lay BOT station (Tien Giang province).
The BHĐX group came here to "talk right and wrong" about the previous argument between the company and the group. Accordingly, the company owner was upset that the BHĐX group had posted the company's images and information on the internet, causing the company to be constantly "terrorized".
However, when he just arrived in front of Tu Anh company headquarters, Mr. Le Tan Tu used a machete to slash Mr. Tan, causing him to sever the extensor tendon of his left wrist and had to be hospitalized for emergency treatment.
After slashing the man, Tu threw the machete into the grass across the street and left.

At the police station, Tu admitted that while talking to Mr. Tan, he had slashed the person. As for the towing of the car, Tu's company had signed a contract with Cai Lay BOT Company, and also towed the car at the request of the authorities.
According to a driver of Tu Anh company, since the day he drove the crane to lift Mr. Trinh Hong Phuong's car under a contract with Cai Lay BOT company, the company's hotline has been continuously harassed.
"On the evening of December 2, the company was also called to send a crane to Can Tho bridge for rescue. However, when they arrived, there was no car," said the driver.
Regarding the scuffle, this driver also said that before the "Long Distance Friends" group arrived at the company headquarters, the director told him that if this group arrived, he should use a rescue vehicle to block the road and not let the group retreat.
However, the fight happened before the crane driver blocked the road. The incident is under further investigation.
