Nghe An's industrial production index in July 2024 increased by more than 11%

In July 2024, Nghe An's industrial production index is estimated to increase by 11.04% over the same period; industrial production in the area still maintains a good growth rate.

Of which: Production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning increased by 34.36%; Processing and manufacturing industry increased by 9.46%; Water supply, waste and wastewater management and treatment activities increased by 0.3%; Mining industry decreased by 4.19%.

Mr. Pham Van Hoa - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade said: Industrial production faces many difficulties and challenges due to the complicated and unstable fluctuations of the world economy. Pressure on inflation, exchange rates, interest rates, especially input materials are scarce and at high levels.

But with the attention and timely direction of State management agencies and the efforts of production and business enterprises, industrial production in the area still maintains a good growth rate.

In July 2024, businesses have stepped up production and expanded their business scale. Some new factories, after a trial period, have had stable commercial products. Many new projects have been put into operation, contributing to the economic growth of the province, such as: Taical additives of Mega Factories, electronic components, auto spare parts, solar battery modules; leather shoes.

Some manufactured products grew quite well compared to the same period: Micro is estimated at 7.2 million units, 2.6 times higher than the same period last year; Processed stone is estimated at 118.8 thousand m3, up 67.91%; Fiber is estimated at 1 thousand tons, up 63.93%; Fish sauce is estimated at 29.6 million liters, up 62.78%;

Headphones without microphones are estimated at 4.6 million units, up 59.07%; Electricity production in the month is estimated at 298 million kWh, up 52.13%; Ready-mixed concrete is estimated at 0.1 thousand m3, up 50.89%; Electric cable production service is estimated at 594.6 billion VND, up 49.59%; Yogurt is estimated at 5.0 thousand tons, up 28.95%;

Beer cans are estimated at 609 tons, up 21.82%; Bottled beer is estimated at 4.0 million liters, up 19.08%; Wood shavings and chips are estimated at 23.9 thousand tons, up 17.28%; Roofing sheets are estimated at 114.9 thousand tons, up 16.08%.

Besides the advantages, the production situation of some enterprises still faces difficulties, exports decrease, orders cannot be found, and input material prices increase.

Some factories cannot recruit workers as required, the consumption market is slow, there is a shortage of raw materials or they arrive later than planned, the products are difficult to sell. Some businesses have workers take turns off due to few orders, disrupting the production situation, so they cannot reach the planned output and revenue.

For example: Charging docks are estimated at 1.4 million units, down 36.97%; BSE speakers are estimated at 3.0 million units, down 35.92%; Carton boxes are estimated at 2.2 million units, down 8.20%; Tien Phong plastic pipes are estimated at 1.3 thousand tons, down 6.47%; Paper packaging is estimated at 4.2 million units, down 5.80%; Cement clanke is estimated at 619.2 thousand tons, down 5.55%.

In the first 7 months of 2024, the industrial production index increased by 10.16% over the same period. Of which: Processing and manufacturing industry increased by 10.51%; Production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning increased by 10.32%; Water supply, waste and wastewater management and treatment activities increased by 7.31% and Mining industry increased by 2.21%.
