Giving away free gifts to steal personal information on Facebook is not new, however due to lack of knowledge, many people still participate by filling in their personal information in the hope of receiving gifts.

Last night, February 23, a Facebook account named Hot Boy Xam Tro posted a status with the content: "Today Bita is very happy, giving each of you a 50k card, comment your phone number, Bita will text everyone! Remember to like + comment and share <3, remember to do it before 12pm"

And many people share personal information publicly on Facebook. Up to now (February 24), there have been more than 175,000 likes and 51,000 shares of the post, 120,000 comments.

It is not difficult to realize that this is one of the tricks to attract views to get phone numbers to provide to "spam message distributors". According to statistics of Bkav Group, in the last 6 months of 2015, each day there were up to 13.9 million spam messages distributed, an increase of more than 0.4 million messages compared to the same period in 2014.

Many Facebook accounts share phone numbers.

Another trick to play on users' greed and curiosity, the fake website has appeared with a message to register to receive a free phone card for the first 900 members and users are required to send their email and password.

After that, the information about the user's Facebook account was transferred to the scammer's server. After stealing the account, the scammer behind Facebookvnn.com will continuously spam ads on the Wall of the user's friends who lost their Facebook account.

To minimize this problem, users should install security software with firewall and web scanning functions such as Kaspersky Internet Security, Avira Internet Security, etc.

Users should not click on strange links - even if they are sent by acquaintances. At the same time, avoid clicking on links of unknown origin and not following the instructions to receive gifts in that link.
