President Obama's immigration policy falls into a stalemate
(Baonghean.vn) - The vote on June 23 (local time) at the US Supreme Court with the result of 4 votes in favor and 4 votes against has brought Mr. Obama's immigration policy to a standstill. This means that the opportunity to stay in the US for more than 4 million undocumented immigrants is still in question.

The 4-4 result means the fate of undocumented immigrants in the US remains undecided as the Obama policy will be returned to the House of Representatives in Texas. Currently, US officials say that this program of President Obama is unlikely to become a reality.
Texas is a predominantly Republican state that has opposed President Barack Obama's immigration policy since it was announced in November 2014.
The White House argues that Texas has no right to be the first to rule on the law, having previously opposed it.
According to the US Constitution, when the Supreme Court cannot make a final decision due to a tie vote, the House of Representatives will be allowed to make a decision but the ruling will not be considered a national precedent. The Supreme Court will then be allowed to make a final and irrevocable opinion./.
