Officially allowing self-driving tourist cars to cross the Vietnam - China border
On December 17, at Mong Cai border gate (Quang Ninh, Vietnam), the People's Committee of Mong Cai city and the People's Government of Dongxing city (China) officially allowed self-driving tourist cars to operate across the border between the two countries.
On the first day of implementing this policy, 20 self-driving tourist cars of travel agencies and Vietnamese and Chinese tourists completed procedures and drove to visit Mong Cai city and Dongxing city (China).
Self-driving tourist car operation with the route Mong Cai (Vietnam) - Dong Hung (China) and vice versa is a tourism product suitable to the needs of tourists.

Allowing self-driving tourist vehicles to operate across the border will facilitate the sightseeing and travel of tourists from each side, promoting the development of road tourism activities through Mong Cai International Border Gate (Vietnam) and Dongxing (China).
This is an important step to concretize and enhance tourism cooperation between Mong Cai city and Dongxing (China).
Since the resumption of issuing travel passes for Chinese residents to travel to Vietnam (from August 2013), the activity of welcoming visitors through the international border gate pair Mong Cai (Vietnam) - Dong Hung (China) has been stable with increasingly high service quality, contributing to promoting the development of the tourism industry in the two localities of the two countries./.
