A group of Republican senators met with representatives of a number of Ukrainian public organizations in the United States, where American politicians sharply criticized Ukraine's policies, International Policy Digest reported.

In particular, the senators argued that Ukraine has become an unmanageable problem for the United States and the European Union. They explained this by the escalating aggression and tension in the country, as well as the fact that alternative views in Ukraine have been rejected.

Politicians also add that the Ukrainian authorities are implementing an extremely ineffective economic policy. According to them, world financial institutions are investing billions of dollars in Ukraine, but massive corruption and wasteful spending on the internal Ukrainian conflict in Donbass undermine the efforts of the international community. This also leads to the fact that Ukraine's GDP has been systematically declining in recent years and people are leaving the country in search of a better life.

In addition, US senators expressed concern about the increasing number of political terrorism cases ahead of the elections in Ukraine, as well as concerns about the escalation of the armed conflict with Russia, in which both the European Union and the United States would be forced to intervene.

In connection with all this, the senators stressed, the US President's administration intends to take a number of measures to prevent the economic and political "death spiral" in Ukraine.
