Husband raped his wife's stepdaughter while she was "in bed"
During the time his wife was "in bed", the 36-year-old husband in Tra Vinh called the 10-year-old girl to sleep with him and sexually assaulted her many times.
On March 25, Tra Vinh Provincial Police announced that the investigation agency had issued a decision to prosecute and temporarily detain Pham Van Tuan (36 years old, residing in Tan Hung commune, Tieu Can district) to investigate the act of "Raping a person under 16 years old".
At the investigation agency, Tuan confessed that at the end of 2017, his second wife, Pham Thi S. (45 years old), gave birth to a baby. During this time, Tuan called H. (10 years old, S.'s child with her previous husband) to sleep with him on the front bed.

During the following drinking sessions, Tuan threatened H. to have sex with him. The incident was discovered by S. but she did not dare to report it because she was threatened with being beaten.
Afterwards, Ms. S.'s eldest son came home to visit and was told by his sister about the incident, which led to him reporting it to the investigating agency.
“When her brother came home from Ho Chi Minh City to visit, H. asked to follow him to the city. Her brother found it strange and asked, and the girl told him the whole story,” said the leader of the Criminal Police Department.
