According to the police, Vuong and Ms. Vu used to have their own families. In 2016, the twogot married but did not register their marriage. The two then borrowed money for Ms. Vu to go to Taiwan to work.
Every month, she sent home about 15 million VND for Vuong to pay off his debt and save. In June 2018, when she returned home, she discovered that all the money Vuong had sent home had been spent. During this time, he was often jealous and suspected that she had another man.
On the night of July 8, in a fit of jealousy, Vuong took a knife and threatened his wife, forcing her to kneel down and admit to having an affair. She then had to swear to remain faithful to him to keep things peaceful. However, Vuong continued to be jealous and smashed his wife's phone and tore up her clothes.
At about 5:30 p.m. on July 10, Vuong restrained and used a knife to slash Ms. Vu's face and severed her leg tendons before fleeing the scene.
Through the examination, the wife suffered 20% health damage, but the victim did not agree with this conclusion and requested a re-examination.
